Connecting to the sim808 board.

I have fairly recently acquired the sim808 board, but every pin configuration I try gives me SIM808 init error. I have only been using the DFrobot library examples so far (specifically getGPS). Is there a user manual somewhere that I am missing or can someone walk me through connecting the board to an arduino uno for both hardware and software. Thanks in advance!
