DFplayer Mini plays for a couple of seconds then light goes out and starts buzzing

I got a dfplayer mini for a simple little christmas ornament project. I have a momentary switch connected to ADkey1 that pulls to ground. The SDcard is fat32 formatted and has a single mp3 on it. When the switch is pressed it starts playing when I release it it continuities to play. After a couple of seconds I see the blue light go out on the dfplayer board and I get a buzzing sound from the speaker. Has anyone experienced this with the dfplayer mini? The MP3 is 2.36MB in size 128kbps, 44.1khz single channel.
