Stability of the 5V output of DRI0042 driver

Hello everyone,

I saw in the Wiki that the DRI0042 motor driver can supply 5V output for Arduino, and my questions is the following : if the motor is at maximum power, will the driver still give 500 mA max if the arduino needs it ? Like, will it distribute the current in a smart way instead of giving everything to the motor, wich could make the arduino unstable ?
