SEN0366 bricked?

Hello, I am very impressed with this sensor, but I can't seem to get it to play nicely with any code I generate. Recently, I tried running a code I developed on an Arduino Uno with this distance sensor and all I received back was “Invalid Data”. I tried uploading the starter code provided for the sensor and it read out the same thing. I want to emphasize that before I had done this I made sure that the sensor and setup worked. I ran the original code provided first and everything worked fine. Now that I have uploaded a different code and went back to test the original code all I get is “Invalid Data”. Did I somehow brick the sensor? Is there a way to reset it? I'm at a loss as to why it's behaving this way. Thanks in advance.
