SEN0599 Angle change

I am using the sensor SEN0599 for my master's thesis. The data sheet states that the beam angle is 8-16 degrees. I am using an Arduino to read out the sensor. Can anyone tell me if I can change the angle or what the angle is without a specification?

The beam angle itself cannot be changed, as it's determined by the sensor's optics and design.
