WiFi shield v2.1 "AT Command error"on wizard

I just realized that the question I posted on the "official wifi shield" tutorial thread was actually on the wrong thread (since that is for the old one) haha Anyway here is what I asked:
Hector,

I am following the tutorial you have here http://www.dfrobot.com/image/data/TEL0047/WiFi%20shield%20v21%20Tutorial%20v01.pdf

I have a Mega 2650, put the shield on it, connected external power of 9V connected USB, run the program, set my serial to the right one and the baud rate to 115200 and run the wizard. When I hit "Find WiFi and set command mode", in the box below instead of getting the wifi module I get "AT Command Error". I also tried it with an Arduino Uno with no success either.

I know I've been a bit of a pain but I am once again stomped... Any ideas why it's doing that instead of finding the module? Thanks again and sorry for the trouble :)
To add to this, I have been toying around since yesterday and from what it seems like the program doesn't get access to the wizfi chip for some reason, seems like there is no communication...
2011-12-16 19:56:43 Hi Stefan,

Are you using WEP security on your router? Do you know that WEP is a very weak security system, you may as well not use a password. Have you ever heard of back track?

I would recommend switching to WPA2-PSK. We have not tried to configure the WEP settings for this wifi shield. But it seems you are using the command correctly. I'm not sure what the problem could be.

2011-12-16 10:44:29 I had access to the wifi chip as of yesterday evening. It takes most commands well.

However, I am unable to get the AT+WEAPCONF= command to take.
Default setting WEAPCONF=13,26,,  I want to change it to AT+WEAPCONF=25,26,username,password

Is there a certain order the commands need to be put in?
Or is there another command I have misconfigured that needs to be set to a certain value before I can add it?

Thanks for all that you do.

2011-12-15 20:05:46 Hi guys,

Ok, the AT command tutorial has been finished. Please give it a try and let me know your results.

2011-12-15 08:54:55 I too have the same issue. Receive "AT Command Error" upon clicking Find WizFi and Set Command Mode. Jumpers set on USB. Switch in the tutorial shows to set it on run. I patiently await a work around method to do it. userHeadPic stefenkaur

2011-12-09 22:43:28 The new tutorial is for the new chip. If you have the new style Arduino you can use it as a shield, but you must program the shield via AT commands. For some reason the windows config program does not like the new bootloader. userHeadPic Hector
