  • You Reply: you can use the motor encoder sensors to increase and decrease the the pwm rate to the wheels. So if one wheel is moving faster than the other then decrease the speed of the wheel and increase the speed of the other wheel. You encoders allow you to detect which wheel is moving faster and which is slower. If you are using arduino there is a library for reading encoder values. There are more sophisticated ways of implementing this using PID control. If you are using arduino there is a library available for doing this. No two motors are the same so one will likely be different to the other.
  • Topic: GMR Board
You Reply: Thank you for the response. I am trying to figure out the cabling to use for the GMR board. By looking at the pictures of the GMR board i cant really see if the connections for the mega and nanos are female headers or male pins. For instance around the mega area on the gmr board are there male pins sticking out and is the nano area female? would you recommend any cables like male to female? I think if there was an oblique image of the back it would help.
    Thank you.

    You Reply: Hi There.

I am wondering how the arduino nanos and mega are interfaced with the GMR board. Does the GMR board need to be soldered with headers? Then do you connect wires from the microcontrollers to the headers soldered on the board based on the schematic? If so do these headers come with the GMR board?

    Thank you.
