I'm using this Ethernet Shield
With Arduino Uno.

I'm trying to connect Arduino to the internet for some applications. However, I'm stuck at the very beginning of the project, i can't even initialize the Ethernet shield.

I tried this library (https://github.com/arduino-libraries/Ethernet) as it actually supports the W5500 and I can't use the library suggested by the product wiki as it is for an old IDE version. The outputs i keep getting are:
Failed to obtain an IP address using DHCP
and
Ethernet shield was not found. Sorry, can't run without hardware. :("
