The two-degree-of-freedom DSS-P05 servo gimbal is a high-value, small-scale gimbal boasting a considerable torque of 4.5 kilograms. It can execute two degrees of freedom movements in both horizontal and vertical directions, facilitating the convenient installation of cameras. This enables image surveillance, as well as image recognition and tracking. By integrating an infrared sensor or an ultrasonic distance-measuring sensor, it can be transformed into a comprehensive detection device, allowing robots to perceive surrounding obstacles and thereby enabling obstacle avoidance. Of course, it can also accommodate various sensors, and through the Arduino controller, it can facilitate the creation of numerous innovative interactive works.
Please note: The DSS-P05 servo has superseded the previous version, the DF05BB. Due to the hardware constraints of the servo and U-shaped bracket in the horizontal position post-assembly, the product cannot achieve 0-360° rotation in the vertical direction.
Project 1. Sunflower - Arduino Solar Tracker
In modern solar tracking systems, the solar panels are fixed on a structure that moves according to the position of the sun. In this project it designs a solar tracker using two servo motors, a light sensor consisting of four mini photocells and Arduino UNO board.
Hardware Components:
DFRduino UNO R3
I/O Expansion Shield for Arduino
DF05BB Tilt/Pan Kit (5kg)
Mini Photocell x 4
Resistor 100kOhm x 4
DFRobot Solar Panel
