The JX-660T LoRa Radio Module is a high-performance, long-range, low-data-rate data radio modem based on the Semtech SX1262. This low-cost sub-1 GHz transceiver module is designed for operations in the unlicensed ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical) bands, offering a versatile frequency range of 380-450MHz. Utilizing LoRa™ spread spectrum modulation, the module provides robust multi-channel operation, high bandwidth efficiency, and excellent anti-blocking performance, facilitating the realization of reliable wireless links.
The module supports two primary modes of operation:
Transparent (Passthrough) Mode: Acts as a transparent data radio modem, communicating with the host device using a preset data format without requiring encoding/decoding by the host.
Star Network Mode: One module can be configured as a central node, while others operate as node modules. Communication between the central module and node modules is bidirectional. Node modules communicate exclusively with the central node and not directly with each other.
Note: This module implements a proprietary protocol for its star network functionality and does not include the LoRaWAN™ protocol stack. Therefore, it is not directly compatible with LoRaWAN™ networks.
Use of a USB to TTL Converter is recommended for easy parameter configuration, and the Gravity IO Expansion Shield for seamless integration with microcontrollers.
Version Update:
The LoRa Radio Module has been upgraded for enhanced performance and efficiency. The previous version (V1,SX127x-based) is now succeeded by the current JX-660T (V2, SX1262-based).
Core Functionality: The module continues to utilize LoRa™ spread spectrum modulation for long-range, low-data-rate wireless communication. It maintains a TTL serial (UART) interface for configuration and data transfer and supports star network topology (using a proprietary protocol). Similar to V1, the JX-660T (V2) is not LoRaWAN™ compatible.
For Returning Customers: Please carefully review the following key changes, especially the revised operating frequency range and receiver sensitivity, if replacing a V1 module in existing setups or designing for specific link budgets. These changes may impact system compatibility and performance characteristics.
