This is an industrial-grade high-performance RS485 photoelectric isolation repeater that converts one-way RS485 to one-way RS485. Compatible with EIA/TIA RS485 standard, it features asynchronous half-duplex, two-way communication, and complete transparent data transmission. The repeater can realize RS485 signal amplification, and extend bus network communication distance to up to 1200m (Baud rate 9600bps).
The repeater supports a maximum connection of 128 nodes (the 485 devices), the branch length between nodes is not more than 10 meters, and the maximum bus length is not more than 1200 meters. The hand-in-hand bus connection mode is adopted between nodes, and fork and star connections are not allowed.
1. Single repeater: for point-to-point, it can connect with one 485 output device, extend the communication distance to 1200m; for point-to-multipoint, it can connect thirty-two 485 output devices, the distance between the adjacent 485 devices can not be more than 10 meters, and the total length of the bus is extended to 1200 meters.
2. Parallel connection: supports up to sixteen 485 repeaters connected to the same 485 input device and supports a total of 128 devices at the same time.
3. Cascade (tree topology): Connect umpteen 485 repeaters, extend the RS485 communication distance indefinitely, and support a total of 128 devices.
The module is designed for industrial automation communication. It uses an industrial-grade superpower anti-jamming chip inside to intelligent discriminate circuit and automatically senses the direction of data flow, featuring stable signal, safe and reliable data communication. Also, it avoids the problem of RS485 transmission and reception conversion delay. The repeater has a built-in DC-DC voltage-stabilized source isolation module with an isolation voltage of 1500V; The optocoupler isolates RS485 master-slave network to ensure that data communication is not affected by the ground loop and common-mode voltage difference; It also has TVS transient suppression protection and self-recovery fuse current limiting protection. The power circuit is anti-reverse, which can effectively cope with various environments in the industry.
The module can judge the data transmission situation by the status of the indicator light (keep on when data is not transmitted; blinking when data is transmitting). It can be widely used in signal acquisition and control of industrial field equipment, industrial automation, power acquisition, security monitoring, building intercom, highway toll collection, Swipe Card Door Entry Systems, PLC, parking lot system, MODBUS, and other situations that require extended communication distance under 485 bus protocol.
