Even in analog mode, the Dout detection does not stop because the on-board ah-switch only controls whether the OUT pin is connected to Aout or Dout. so when the turbidity of the test solution reaches the threshold, the Dout light will still be on.
You can try to adjust the knob on the adapter board with a screwdriver to see if the light goes off.
Also, are you able to check if the voltage output is now normal when your adapter board and probe have the same wiring sequence as below?
