• You Reply: Finally fixed it, on the shield (well my shield) the power connection for the beetle to connect to the shield was soldered a bit off, causing that Part of the solder to be touching the ground plate on the PCB. It was a lucky guess, and thankfully i work at a tech lab. So anywho, thank you for trying to help but my little guy is walking like a boss now!
• You Reply: The power indicator does not turn on when the battery is plugged in and the switch is turned to on. I will get a photo later today.  But the picture looks exactly like the picture on the wiki just the light doesn't turn on.

Edit: photo
• You Reply: Sorry let me reiterate: my beetle board is fine, my robot is fully assembled my issue right now is the fact that my.....beetle shield has a big shorting issue: with the switch off power reads just fine when the battery is connected (using a multimeter), with the switch closed it leads to the + and - terminals throughout the board to get grounded.

Upon further investigation all of the + terminals are shorted to the - terminals in some way which explains why the board shorts itself out. The switch, the led, the capacitor and the resistor are working as intended, but any of the I/O shield (S + -) [stands for (signal pos neg)] also the power connectors for the beetle to be soldered to the board read as a short. (The +      -, are connected in some way)

How do I fix/ diagnose this? One way I could do it is remove 1 part at a time...then check if the short is gone. But it could be internally...
• You Reply: just checked the bottom board (shield), the sheild has a short or doesn't recognize the power from the battery. kinda weird.

Edit: switch could be faulty?
edit2: i checked all +/- on the shield, and they are all shorted (+/- for the inputs/outputs, and +/- for the connections into the connections to the beetle) So in a sense, gonna be really hard to debug on my end, and i know that i didn't cause the short on the shield.
